ATA Juror's Commendation

This was my view as Bridge tender on the Broadway Bridge in Portland, Oregon.  I am standing on the porch of the operator’s shack.  The view is looking south to the Steel Bridge.

 

Pam Patrie, an Oregon native who studied at the Pacific NW College of Art and independent studies in France, is in her 50th year operating a contract studio for production of her work and works of other artists.  Her job bridge tending for 26 years allowed her to support her family and her studio.
