My tapestries reflect the Pacific Northwest environment where people are linked and worlds are
connected by water. The symmetrical strength and elegance of bridges that span the Columbia and Willamette Rivers have drawn my eye since I was a little girl. My tapestry constructs the St. Johns Bridge in Portland, a suspension bridge that gracefully links parts of the city. The distance tree lined mountains recede in details and color. Clouds of all shapes and yarn textures mute the blue sky. Trees becomes more distinct and their mosaic colors more vibrant on the near shore. Image designed by Michele Maule.
