Willamette Bridges - Arch & Abernethy

The historic Arch Bridge connects downtown Oregon City to West Linn below the Willamette Falls.
Further north, the Abernethy Bridge carries the freeway traffic headed to and from Portland. The
unseen Falls created a need for the historic bridge. Traffic congestion and modern life created the need for the freeway bridge. The appeal to me was the juxtaposition between the historic and the modern.
