Vista Avenue Viaduct

Margaret Emborg-Jeppesen

2024

10" x 6.75", 14" x 11" mounted

Cotton warp, wool weft

My early days in the metropolis of Portland, Oregon included frequent travel on public
transportation passing under the Vista Bridge. From the view of my bus seat it always
seemed as if the bridge was floating in a sea of green and blue.
A bridge is not necessarily a viaduct however a viaduct is always a bridge.
