Artist Statement

I have been weaving tapestry for almost 50 years, and I am still learning. I wove traditional Aubusson style for years: cotton warp, wool weft. Recently the work has veered toward eccentric weft, varied fibers, hand-spun, variegated dyeing, new images drawn on the computer.
I am fascinated by images of interlacing, labyrinths, mandalas, and textures. Color and blending of color is a focus.
I am happy to be a weaver.
