Artist Statement
I approach my tapestry designs graphically. I tend to create bolder designs that try to establish a mood or tell a story. My designs are often abstract and utilize color to help convey the emotion. Additionally, I design bold, sometimes monolithic shapes in my tapestries that catch your attention through simple graphics and color.
When designing, I try to utilize the design principles when analyzing my cartoons in order to help me through the development of my projects. I often use Procreate to come up with my ideas and cartoons.
