Kevynne Layne
Kevynne Layne’s background includes an associate degree in design, 25+ years designing and weaving tapestries, and teaching Navajo-style weaving at Damascus Fiber Art School. Although she is now taking a break from teaching, Kevynne continues taking workshops with world- renowned tapestry artists in an effort to continue refining and enhancing her skills as a tapestry weaver.
Artist Statement
I weave those images that bring me the most joy. My graphic design background and love of ethnic art informs my geometric weaving, while nature and the community of women I weave with inspire my more organic pieces.
